Digital Citizenship
Lessons
So my "new" current plan is to visit every class once EACH QUARTER for a digital citizenship lesson. However, that does not mean, I can't do more. Also, many of you are hopefully finding that it is something woven into other lessons you currently do or that we are collaborating and working on together.
Check out this link for specifics from Common Sense Media.
Hour of Code
December 3-9 or the Entire Month of December at BSE
IDOE now has a Computer Science Specialist and has many FREE professional development opportunities

Check out www.code.org
Also, for the weeks of December 10th and December 17th, I still have availability and am ready to get students involved with coding and engage in opportunities to use our new technology. Some teachers have already reached out and are interested.
If you want to partner up and work together with your students on getting started with coding using code.org or even Bloxels, let me know.
The Red Bicycle
One School, One Book
- Send the book, The Red Bicycle ,home with each student to read and share with their families.
- Add ideas, questions, thoughts, and future action steps to the bulletin board outside Mrs. Kraick's fourth grade classroom.
What action steps will BSE take prior to May?

A Huge Success!
This year sales totaled over $18,000 which is an increase from $17,000 last year. WE have around $4,500 to spend on new titles for the BSE library. After the new year, I will be once again requesting recommendations from all of you and students. Stay tuned.
Thank you for all of your support and a huge thanks to those you helped set up even if it was for only a few minutes. I couldn't do any of without all of you. Thanks

A Story to Share
If I have not worked with your students this semester, we will make sure that happens second semester. It is quite painless, just ask someone who has done it.
