SBS Fest
On Friday, June 2nd, our school community will begin a new tradition of celebrating the end of a successful school year. All your favorite parts of Games Day and Spring Fling will combine for one epic day: SBS Fest!
SBS Fest will be an all-day event where students travel with their team to activity stations including Field Day Games, Relay/Olympic Games, Indoor Carnival and Outdoor Carnival. Students will need to bring a cold lunch or order one through school.
Please look for our Sign-up Genius request for parent assistance with games and supervision. We’re also seeking donations/usage of sport wagons, 5-gallon water dispensers, Dixie cups and shade tents for the day.
SBS Student Council will sell tickets for carnival games in denominations of $3, $5 and $10. We are excited about SBS Fest and look forward to celebrating with the whole SBS community! Please keep an eye out for more information.
Summer Office Hours
Student Council Update
The SBS Student Council sent seven students to the Wisconsin Association of Student Council (WASC), Junior High and Middle (JAM) State Conference May 7th and 8th. Participants learned about being a Super Hero Leader with keynote speakers, leadership skills sectionals and time to connect with students from other student councils around the state. Fun, growth and inspiration were all a part of the experience. Thanks to Mrs. Jennifer Anderson-Warwick for helping drive and chaperone. Take a look at the display window in the commons to see the awards that were earned this year.
BOXTOPS
Please keep sending in your box tops for education. The student council uses the proceeds to fund service projects, help support the food pantry, and provide assistance where needed as well as scholarships to summer leadership camps.
News from the Cafeteria
Stone Bank School will be serving Pizza Hut pizza on Thursday, June 1, 2017 as part of the hot lunch program. Students will have a choice between Cheese and Pepperoni or Cheese pizza. In addition, starting May 24, 2017 through the end of year Stone Bank School will be experimenting with the option to purchase items via ala carte during Middle School Lunch only. All snacks will meet the nutritional requirements as identified in Smart Snacks published by the USDA. If you have any questions regarding either program please call Jeff Serak at 262-966-2900.
Non-Returning Students
Thank you from the PTO
Thank you to all who volunteered and visited the book fair last week. It was a huge success! Events like the book fair are not possible without the support of volunteers and parents.
With the profits from our book fair we were able to donate $1,170 in Scholastic Dollars to the Library at Stone Bank School.
Thank you again!
