Thank you all for amazing fall parties and a fun Red Ribbon Week!
When letters glow, learning is a party!
Broken Arrow Family Bravos for Mrs. White, Ms. Self, and All Teachers and Staff!
Mrs. White and Ms. Self: These 2 teachers gave us wonderful parent-teacher conferences for my daughters. They were warm, welcoming, and honest about the successes and areas of improvement that they see in our children. Thank you for taking the time to meet with us and making me feel very confident about the great things going on in your classrooms. We appreciate you both!
All Teachers and Staff: I just want to take a movement to comment on how amazing parent-teacher conferences were! I saw the teachers working so hard to get conferences lined up, rearranging times to accommodate schedules, and doing everything they could to give everyone the opportunity. During the actual conferences, I loved seeing all the awesome art and student work on display throughout the building. All the classrooms looked so welcoming and for some parents, it was their first time in the building and they made it make sure to make a good impression. And having the specials teachers there to show off their rooms was awesome! Giving students the opportunity to participate in their conferences made it feel like such a team effort and both my students were so proud and honored to be included. And finally, the packets the teachers prepared were fantastic, work samples and notes on how they were doing in all areas. It told us so much more than a grade card. I know all of this took a tremendous amount of work on the part of teachers and staff and I just had to share how much I appreciated it as a parent!
Notes from the PTA
- Thank you to everyone who donated items for teacher snacks, fulfilled post-it requests, and volunteered at the Book Fair last week during Parent-Teacher Conferences. It was wonderful to have so much parent support!
- The Fall Book Fair was our best book fair on record! We had over $4,000 in sales and earned 50% back in the form of books for our students. The Online Fair goes until Monday, November 1st, we earn 25% of online sales and all orders ship home. This is a great way to stock up on books for holiday gifts! The link to the online store can be found here: https://www.scholastic.com/bf/brokenarrow
- Don't forget to turn in your October FRED Logs! All of the teachers have a box of books that students can pick from when they return these monthly. November's FRED Log is attached.
Pick Up and Drop Off Reminders:
2. Parents can pick up from the curb or the parking lot, not from the middle of the road. That is dangerous for students and keeps traffic backed up.
3. Students will only be released if vehicles are along the curb or in the parking lot. If parents are in the parking lot, students will cross the crosswalk and walk to their vehicle next to the median or to their parent standing on the median.
4. Please share this important information with others who may be helping with pick up or drop off.
