Elsa England Nature Society

Inspired by the work of the Water Warriors, Earth Warriors, Wildlife Warriors, and Planet Protectors, teachers and students in grades 3-5 organized a new after-school club that began meeting early in the 2nd semester. Third grade teachers Deborah Swyers and Michele Lilleboe are the club sponsors. They met with their group of approximately 30 students every Friday from 3:00 - 4:00. The students in this club are passionate about protecting their environment. They organized the Run Wild for Wildlife fun-run and raised over $1,600! Great work Leopards, and a great example of community service in action!

Two More School-Wide Events on the Calendar: Spotlight Night and Field Day!

May 18th: Spotlight Night gives all of our students a time to shine! Come enjoy encore performances by both the Cub and England Choirs, visit every classroom to see student portfolios and projects, browse the PTA silent auction, and see beautiful student artwork showcased throughout the building. You'll also have an opportunity to purchase books at our final Scholastic Book Fair in the library, and you can purchase a meal from on-site food trucks and enjoy a family picnic. All your friends will be here, so don't miss out! Book fair opens at 5:30, the choir performs at 6:00, and classrooms open at 6:30. We'll wrap up the evening at 7:30.

May 26th: Field Day means fun for all! With Dr. Seuss themed activities, this promises to be the best Field Day yet at Elsa England. Make sure your students dress appropriately to enjoy the event. Contact Coach Shore or Coach DiCarlo if you want to join the Field Day Team.
