Human Growth and Development (HG&D) lessons will be instructed to students in April or May. Permission for the lessons was completed during the online registration process last fall through Skyward. If changes need to be made, the online form will be open in Skyward starting March 28. We realize this has turned into a busy evening for families in 5th grade and will make this portion of the night as efficient as possible so you can enjoy the D.A.R.E. Graduation.

Their writing will be organized with transitional phrases and have a strong conclusion.
Math
Long division, how we love thee! This might not be the chant of every 5th grader, but our classes are working hard at the long division process. Next week, we will be wrapping up the unit with a quiz and test. Please check the homework page for exact dates on these assessments.
We will continue to study long division next week we will review long division before our assessments. Remember, if your child is struggling, take a look at our videos on our webpage to help guide them. Also, it's a great way for them to preview upcoming lessons.
Social Studies
We wrapped up our Science Unit this week with the final assessment. Take a look for these next week in your child's take home folder.
In Social Studies we are picking up right where we left off, the 13 Colonies. Students will look at the three regions (New England, Middle and Southern Colonies) identifying: reasons for its founding, geography, economy, and government. Specifically they will begin to understand how these three colonial regions are alike and different.
