We are eager to have Jessica join us and trust that she will best serve our community needs.

Please remember TownSq. is the best and most efficient way to communicate with Jessica & the management team.

Ride around the neighborhood

Board members Ricky Stowe and Mary Daresh had the pleasure of riding around the neighborhood on June 25th with Goodwin's compliance inspector. The board wanted to be more informed with what the process looks like so that we would be better equipped to answer questions when they arise. While we did not accompany her for the entire 2+ hour drive, we rode with her for about an hour. We were extremely pleased to see how many homeowners had cured violations within the 30 day grace period and we were able to close out that issue while doing the drive around. Thank you to all residents who continue to help keep our neighborhood beautiful. We were extremely impressed with the inspector's positive attitude, knowledge, professionalism and thoroughness.

It is also important to note that the car will always be marked with the Goodwin magnet, as shown in the picture above. The inspector will always stay in their vehicle and never comes onto anyone's property. Should you have questions or concerns please feel free to use the contact information at the bottom of the newsletter to contact the board/management company. Using the "request' feature in town square is usually the quickest way to receive an answer.

Please understand that approaching her vehicle may not be the best way to address a concern. However, usually the driver will roll down the window partially and try to answer a question if a resident approaches the vehicle. You can always call the guard shack if you have a concern. Clarence tracked us down and talked to us during the drive around stating that a resident had called with a concern.

Copies of Rio Vista Governing documents

If you would like a printed copy of the governing documents for Rio Vista just stop by the guard shack and ask for a copy. We had extra copies from the last time we met at the church. These documents can also be found here on town square for reference.

Have a question? Why wait for a board meeting to get it answered.

Remember you can get questions answered using town square. Use the "request" feature to have access to the board/manager. This is usually the quickest way to have your questions answered.

Revision of Section 3.11

Recently several homeowners have expressed an interest in revising this section of the governing documents. At the board meeting on May 27th a committee was formed to begin looking at new wording. It was also decided that a follow up meeting would be scheduled in the coming weeks.

So, on June 22nd another meeting was held at Forestwood Baptist church. During this meeting it was decided that an announcement would be placed on town square announcing that property owners could submit suggestions for the the rewording. All property owners have until midnight on July 7th to submit their suggestions. Those suggestions will be turned over to the committee on July 8th. The committee will give the final document to the board no later then July 22nd. The board will then work with the management company to get ballots mailed to each property owner so that this revision can be voted on by the members.

At the July 22nd meeting several homeowners shared that they planned to go door to door. This is not something that was requested by the board of directors nor was any personal information provided to the committee members.

The following is the current wording of section 3.11

The next board meeting is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday August 17th at 6:00 at the Forestwood Baptist Church in Roman Forest.

Due to several homeowners expressing their displeasure/discomfort at how the last two meeting have been run, we will be allowing the management company to run/control the flow of the meeting. Most questions asked at the meeting will not be answered during the meeting. After the board has had time to discuss the questions they will be answered through the messaging feature on town square.
