As we finalize projects related to the 2018 Facilities Referendum, please review our Spring 2022 Facilities Referendum Report, which provides an overview of what we accomplished as part of this work. In the coming days, postcards will be mailed to all Wauwatosa residents with a QR code that links to the report. Thank you to the Wauwatosa community for your continued support throughout the Referendum process!
NEW: Contact Information in Infinite Campus
If you/your child changes addresses, phone numbers or email addresses in the summer months, please update the information in Infinite Campus. This ensures we have the most current information for all district students and families as we begin to communicate about the 2022-23 school year.
NEW: Additional ESSER Funding
This week, the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction announced local educational agencies with an ESSER formula allocation that did not meet $578 per pupil will receive additional ESSER funding.
This means that the Wauwatosa School District will have an additional $1,204,745 of ESSER III money to spend.
Of this, $1,020,894 must be used for EBIS. The District must submit its application / budget for this EBIS portion by August 31.
The original ESSER III allocation required that the District spend at least 20%, $606,639 on EBIS expenditures. Our plan exceeds that amount.
This means that we can shift everything above the required $606,639 to this new allocation, and use the amount shifted from the original ESSER III plan for other purposes including:
Balancing next year's budget.
Other expenditures that did not make the cut for the approved ESSER III plan.
This means that for all purposes, the Wauwatosa School District will present a balanced budget on June 13, 2022. Further, we will have a contingency fund for additional staffing needs as we get closer to the start of the school year. Click here to learn more.
NEW: Tosa Youth Tri
The Friends of Hoyt Park & Pool are hosting the 6th annual TOSA Youth Tri on August 13th. This event is designed to nurture a lifelong interest in swimming, biking and running. Kids aged 9-15 are invited and encouraged to participate at their ability. Swim training for the triathlon is offered through TOSA Pool. This is also a great volunteer opportunity for older students and community members. Register your athlete or volunteer at the following link and take the summer to train together! Click here for more information.
