Academic Smart Goal
My goal is specific because it is to achieve an exact mark of 95% by a set time.
I can measure my goal by keeping tracks of my marks in my courses throughout grade 12. Marks around the 95 mark (90-100) will mean that my goal is on track. If I see any lack in marks I can improve them right away to stay on track.
My goal is possible because getting a 95 in courses is possible. It is challenging with very little margin for error.
Since my goal is to be academic, getting a 95 average at the end of high school is relevant. I will mostly be taking academic courses so my average will reflect my ability in academic areas.
I have the rest of high school (Present to grade 12 graduation) to complete my goal. That is also 5 semesters. I need to keep my marks within the range each semester to have my average of 95 to achieve my goal.
Volunteering Smart Goal
My goal is complete 300 hours of volunteering at a variety of places by my high school graduation.
My goal is specific because I want to achieve exactly 300 hours. I will look to volunteer at multiple local locations during summers between school years.
I can keep track of how many hours I have by recording my hours when volunteering I can know if I have achieved my goal when I have a total of 300 hours recorded by my guidance counselor.
Since I already have 252 hours, I only need to complete 48 more hours to achieve my goal. I will look for volunteering in my area. If I do 5 hours a day, I can achieve my goal within 10 days of volunteering which is something I can do.
This goal is important to me right now because volunteer hours are a requirement to graduate high school. More hours also help get into universities, making volunteer hour vital.
Since I have 252 out of my 300 hours completed, I only have 48 hours to complete over the course of the next 3 years. I will complete a few hours every few months so by graduation I will have the complete 300. Volunteering during summers is what I will do.
