Edgewood's Tiger Talk
September 15, 2016
3rd graders get creative and build community.
Read the world!
K5 students learn that they're all ready reading all around the world.
Third graders get up and greet one another back to back and face to face during Morning Meeting.
1) While students may have phones/tablets (Personal Communication Devices) at school and on school buses, they must be powered OFF at all times--even on the bus. If you need to reach your child during the school day, please call the school office. If buses will be late, the school will send a text message to parents.
2) Students may only get on and off the bus at their assigned stops. In the past, parents were able to send notes for temporary switches (e.g. for a play date). This is no longer allowed. Having an accurate list of who is on which bus is critical for student safety; and bus company lists cannot be updated or changed quickly or easily. I suggest that if you're arranging for a child's play date, you send a note allowing the other parent to pick up your child from school via car/walking.
Tomorrow, you will receive an email from a firstname.lastname@example.org. It will have a link to the Handbook (which is also on the Greenfield website) and an electonic Verification Sign-off form. All parents and students must review the handbook and fill out the sign-off form. The first class to have all students complete the form will receive a prize!
Thank you, and let me know what questions you might have.
