World Physical Therapy Day (September 8)

Help our PT's celebrate their special day! There are considerable advantages when undergoing pediatric physical therapy that may not only benefit a child physically, but mentally too. Physical therapy helps children learn to successfully and independently perform gross motor skills and functional mobility skills. As a child begins to successfully develop these skills, it creates a greater form of independence that helps contribute to achieving a higher sense of self-esteem. Though physical therapy for children provides a safer form of development and strengthening, it is also capable of being an essential preventative measure by addressing any muscle imbalance or weakness.

Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, bringing awareness to pediatric cancer, which remains the leading cause of death by disease for children under the age of 14.

Childhood Cancer Awareness Month is a time when we celebrate advances in childhood cancer treatment and survivorship care, remember the children we’ve lost, and engage new advocates to join in our mission of achieving a day when every child with cancer can live a long and healthy life. Show your support by wearing gold.

National Suicide Prevention Month

#BeThe1To is the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline’s message for National Suicide Prevention Month and beyond, which helps spread the word about actions we can all take to prevent suicide. The Lifeline network and its partners are working to change the conversation from suicide to suicide prevention and actions that can promote healing, help and give hope.

The national Suicide Prevention/Crisis line has changed! It is now three easy numbers of 988 where you can call or text to receive help.
