Amazing Resilience, Heart, and ingenuity
You have all pushed forward with providing quality and necessary services to your students and their families during this unprecedented closure of our physical school buildings. This has been done with enormous heart for the children you serve and has shown incredible ingenuity and resilience on everyone's part. At the basis of every virtual meeting, phone call, or physically distant in-person interaction I have had with all of you, the ever-present focus has been on children's needs. Please reach out if Beth or I can be of assistance in any way during this time. We are here to support you in all that you are doing. THANK YOU. You are all rock stars!
Teacher Appreciation
Our Teacher Appreciation Evening, which was scheduled for April 29th, has been canceled. Fortunately, Jimmy Casas was willing and able to commit to rescheduling for our spring 2022 event. We WILL still notify and recognize educators and support staff who we have selected from the nominations. This will be done via video and published on our Website & Facebook pages. Thank you all for the generous number of nominations this year!
Virtual PLCs
We are working on setting up a series of virtual PLCs for different grade bands, subject areas, and roles to help us support each other with our new methods of educational delivery during our closures. If you, or someone you know, would be a wonderful facilitator for such meetings, please contact me as soon as possible. They will be posted to PIR Net as they are created. These will be done via Zoom and will be eligible for OPI renewal units.
