Camelback Desert School
Living Wax Museum - Project Based Learning
Project Based Learning
Project Based Learning is a teaching method in which students gain knowledge by working for an extended period of time investigating and responding to a question or challenge. It becomes meaningful to the student because they are engaged and obtain a deeper knowledge of what they are studying. This is true of the Living Wax Museum held last Thursday in the elementary classrooms at Camelback Desert School.
Students read a biography/autobiography or studied about someone they know. The pictures below demonstrate how much they got out of this type of project. It was a great reading, social studies and science integration activity.
