October 2017 Highlights
LISD Sends $3,500 to Calhoun ISD
Over the last month, Levelland schools have participated in fundraising efforts to help those affected by Hurricane Harvey, specifically those who live in Port Lavaca, Texas. According to Delight Davis the "goal was to raise money to help people in a smaller community outside of Houston similar to our community, and although it has been a month since Harvey devastated the area, people are still in the process of rebuilding their communities and lives". Schools that participated in the event include ABC, Capital Elementary, South Elementary, Levelland Intermediate and Levelland High School. The high school raised the most money bringing in over $1300 and ABC finished second.
