Tech Thursday: Your Turn to Learn!
Tech Thursday is an after school learning opportunity that will be held regularly at the Scituate High School Library for elementary and secondary faculty. Faculty will be able to learn practical applications for district supported technology tools and earn PDP's for attending sessions. Tech Thursday will be held twice a month starting in February 2016. A schedule will follow with dates.

Google Drive
Docs/Slides
Google Forms
Google Classroom Beginner and Intermediate
Google Chrome Apps/Extensions
Tech Thursday will be held at two times to accommodate the elementary and secondary schedules. The middle and high school sessions will be held from 2:30pm - 3:15pm and elementary sessions will be held from 3:30pm - 4:15pm.
We invite you to browse through the sessions below and visit the link to reserve your spot! We also encourage departments, teams, or PBL partners to sign up together for some creative, tech-tastic, collaboration time!

Tutorial Sessions and Descriptions:
Session 1: Google Drive & Apps - February 4, 2016
Prerequisite: None
Session 2: Google Classroom 1- February 25, 2016
Prerequisite: Google Classroom 1 is appropriate for the teacher who has not yet implemented Classroom with students.
Session 3: Google Classroom 2 - March 10, 2016
Prerequisite: Classroom 2 is appropriate for the teacher who has a solid understanding of Google Drive and has introduced Classroom to the students at a basic level.
Session 4: Google Forms - March 31, 2016
A Google Form can be used to collect data for surveys/polls, give an assessment such as a quiz or exit ticket, or collect other information in your classroom.
Session 5: Chrome Browser, Apps & Extensions - April 14, 2016
In this session you will learn how to sign in to the Chrome Browser to save your bookmarks, history, and settings for fluid use between devices.
We will also explore the Google Chrome Web Store to learn about different apps and extensions that can be useful in the classroom for the teacher and student. You will learn the difference between an App and Extension, how to add them to your Chrome Browser and accessing them after installation.
