Science in September!
Science in September
In September, your student can choose a science project to complete at home. This can be any science experiment that your student is interested in and should be something that he/she wants to learn more about.
Instructions:
- Brainstorm possible science projects
- Choose a problem/science project
- Use the scientific method
- Take pictures and/or videos along the way.
- Write down your hypothesis, observations and data, and conclusion.
- Submit your final notes with pictures/videos
How to submit:
- k-5 submit to me through file share in the OLS
- 6-12 submit through the dropbox in the course

Read a book on BIG UNIVERSE about Science
Elementary Students: You have access to a wonderful library of resources on Big Universe. You can find the link to this free resource in your OLS under Quick Links. Read a book this month about the scientific method.
Older Students: You can access free reading sites/materials on the Bison Reading Site. Do a search for books on the scientific method and read a book that interests you on the topic. Reach out if you need help finding something.
Advanced Math and Reading for Elementary!
I have created an advanced math and reading newsletter for elementary students. This will provide information about what we are discussing in class connects each month and will also provide additional resources. We will be reading books and discussing those in class, read alouds of the books that we are reading will be posted within this newsletter. Math concepts and games to practice those math concepts will be posted in this newsletter.
