This Month in the Garden
Its that time again! Spring is coming and the students have been working hard to prepare the garden for planting!! The children will have the opportunity to work in the garden during their recess this Wednesday, February 7th and again on Thursday, February 22nd! We are also having a Family Garden day on Saturday, February 24th from 11:00 - 1:30. If you have a shovel, please bring it! We look forward to this exciting family event. It is always great fun for all that attend, and the fruits of our labor are exciting for the children to watch, touch and taste! Thank you for helping us share this experience with the children.
5th Graders Visit the Middle School
On Friday, March 2, 2018 our 5th graders will be visiting Cedar Park Middle School to ensure that students have a smooth transition from elementary to middle school. The students will tour the school, see performances by various fine arts groups, learn about middle school classes, and eat lunch. They will also be making choices about their elective courses for 6th grade. Permission slips for the visit to the middle school will be placed in Wednesday folders on Feb. 14 and are due back to the student’s homeroom teacher by Wednesday, Feb. 21st. Signed permission slips must be returned for your student to attend the visit. If you have any questions about the middle school visit, please contact our school counselor, Kristie Lensing at 512-570-5400.
