Elementary Weekly Update

Office of Teaching and Learning

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We would like to take this opportunity to let you know about updates to student enrichment learning activities:

  • Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday your child’s teacher is posting three lessons in their Google Classroom - one ELA, one Math, and one Science or Social Studies. This work is intended to keep students' minds moving forward. (PreK and K teachers may not be using Google Classrooms, if not teachers will be e-mailing lessons to families.)

  • Within Google Classroom, students can now find a Special Area Topic. This tab contains a link to activities in Art, Music, Health, and Physical Education. Three times a week lessons will be added for Art, Health, Music and PE! We encourage you to use this time to develop a passion or learn a new skill!

  • Teachers are holding a daily office hour, during which they are available to answer questions and offer assistance to any student that may need more direction with the activities.

Please reach out to your child’s teacher via email if you can not access your child’s Google Classroom or have questions about office hours. You can also access all activities from the DPS Extended learning site DPS Extended Learning under the Grade Level Resources Tab.
