The Hartman Herald!
Campus News
Parents,
Teacher Appreciation Week is coming!!! Please start making plans to appreciate our teachers. I have been at many schools in my career, and I have never seen harder working teachers than the teachers we are blessed to have at Hartman Elementary!!! They are committed to your child's success! EVERYDAY, EVERY CHILD, EVERY CHANCE!!! We love our teachers!!! We love our Cool Cats!!! Thank you for sharing them with us! Please see our flyer below for our appreciation schedule.
There are a few things I want to keep on your minds as we approach the end of the year.
Please remember as you plan to participate in the many end of the year activities, YOU MUST HAVE YOUR ID with you. In fact, beginning Monday you must show your identification before we can buzz you into the school to pick up your student, have lunch, or to volunteer, etc. Please make sure you have your identification with every visit to the campus.
Please remember that you must always wear your badge while on campus when you visit.
Please remember that if your student will alter the way they get home from school on any particular day, you must let your child's teacher know of the change. With the weather getting warmer and more activities on your calendar, we want to make sure we get ALL of our Cool Cats home safely.
Please also know that there is one nice collection of fall and winter jackets, hats, and gloves, etc. in our lost and found! Please stop by or encourage your Cool Cat to go by and claim all of their misplaced items!
The cafeteria is trying to balance all student accounts. Please make plans to pay off your students' meal accounts. Thank you!
Attendance
Please, please make sure that if your students can be at school that they are in attendance and on time. We begin our school day at 7:30 each day. If your student arrives after 7:30 they are tardy. Please remember that both absences and tardies can be filed toward truancy.
Compulsory school attendance is the law.
STAAR is Coming
Our third and fourth grade students will take their Math and Reading STAAR tests on May 13th and 14th. Students and teachers are working very hard to make sure that every Cool Cat can do their very best! Each day is full of review and practice activities that will help your child to feel confident and be successful. Please make sure your students are here every day.
Morning Arrival
Please do not drop Cool Cats off in the parking lot in the mornings. If you are you using the parking lot you must park your car in a parking space. If you do not want to park, please use our car lane. The best time to get in and out of the car lane quickly is between 7:15 and 7:25. The biggest traffic rush comes between 7:25 and 7:30.
Thank you so much for all that you do help us keep our Cool Cats safe and growing as learners! Have a wonderful weekend!
