Week of January 18th - January 22nd
Teachers, Parents & Students;
Points of Interest
- IMA's & Star Testing window will begin on 19th. These are not graded assessments but a tool to assess student ability in regards to reading and math. Please do not assist your child with these activities. It is important that they complete this on their own.
- 1/27 is an asynchronous day - teachers will not be delivering live lessons.
- 1/28 Unified Arts classes will rotate to your new class.
- The 2nd nine weeks ends on January 26th. Please check Schoology and turn in all missing work.
- Report cards will be issued on Feb. 3rd.
- If you have been issued a hot spot and are no longer in need if it, please return it to the school so it can be used for other students please!

Remote Learning Continues
BCS has opted to remain remote until all teachers have had the opportunity to be vaccinated. This is the current plan, stay tuned to BCSchools.

Are still available in the main office, please call ahead to let staff know that you will be picking them up.
Guidance Referrals
Guidance referrals can cover a multitude of reasons. These can be submitted by either the parent (in regards to the student) or by the student. Our school counselors will be in touch one they receive the referral. If you are unsure as to whether or not to submit one, err on the side of caution and go ahead and submit. It can only help!

Take a look at the Smithsonian's collection of memorabilia about Dr. King and the Civil Rights Movement.
Event Information
46th Presidential Inauguration of Joe Biden & Kamala Harris
When and how to watch Biden's inauguration: Biden and Harris will be sworn in around 12 p.m. ET, and the event will likely be carried on all major networks, as well as streaming live platforms.
Who is performing at the inauguration? Lady Gaga is performing the national anthem, and Jennifer Lopez is giving a special performance. There will also be a poetry reading by Amanda Gorman.
What is the theme? The Presidential Inaugural Committee announced "America United" is the theme, saying on their website, "At a time of unprecedented crisis and deep divisions, America United reflects the beginning of a new national journey that restores the soul of America, brings the country together, and creates a path to a brighter future."
