Ms. Schulte's News!
Week 18
Updates!
I am excited that on Feb. 1st we will be back in person full time. Can't wait to see you all in person again. Please note that 1/22 will be no school for K-2 ONLY. This is so we can learn the new state protocols and set up our rooms for in person learning.
Term 3 ends Jan 27th. Get all that missing work in so you get scores and your report card can reflect all your hard work. I move missing work to the Missing Work topic in google classroom. If you see that topic then you have some missing work to complete.
We are working on 2 digit addition and subtraction and moving to word problems in math. In science we are going to look at sound. In ELA we are building on our reading skills.
Conferences!
Virtual conferences are Wednesday Jan. 27 from 3-7PM and Thursday Jan. 28 8AM to 4PM. Here is my link to sign up

Reminder: If you have missing exit tickets, you can still do them! I am not penalizing anyone for taking longer than they expected or if they simply missed one.
Books and Breakfast with Buddies!
We are excited to try something new this year to kick off I Love To Read Month! On Wednesday, January 27th, from 8:00 - 8:30, we will be hosting a virtual event called Books and Breakfast with Buddies! This event will be for our K-7 students and families. On the morning of January 27th, instead of having our morning meeting, families will have the option to sign up for a breakfast delivery, and every student will be receiving a new book! We are asking for “buddies” (moms, dads, grandparents, older siblings, aunts, uncles, older cousins, caretakers, guardians - anyone over the age of 18) to volunteer to share their favorite short picture book with the students. If you don’t have a favorite book, but would like to read to a group of students, we will gladly send a book to you to read! Even students who don't have a buddy to join them will have breakfast delivered, be included in small groups, and have the pleasure of listening to other buddies read to them. Sign up is in the AFSA Family newsletter.
Weekly packets!
We still are working on packets for afternoon classroom hours. Make sure the packet is completed by the end of each week. Turn them in at the next pick up which is the week of Jan. 25th
