Halloween Costume Guidelines 2020
Halloween is quickly approaching and the staff at Willink would like to continue our tradition and allow students to dress up, if they would like to. It is not expected or required that students dress in costume.
1) It is expected that Thursday, October 29, 2020 (group 1) and Friday, October 30, 2020 (group 2), will be regular days of instruction. This will be true for our 100% remote students as well.
2) All costumes must be appropriate for the school day.
3) All students must continue to wear a required mask over their nose and mouth.
Students:
Your costume must allow you to be able to read, write, type, and see the board/screen.
Costumes must meet the guidelines of the Webster Central School District dress code. For example, undergarments may not be worn as outerwear just because it is Halloween. Look in the mirror. A general rule, if you have any questions about your outfit, don’t wear it!
Shoes or sneakers must be worn at all times. Slippers or socks are not appropriate for the school building due to safety issues.
Since we must be able to see that all students are wearing appropriate PPE, costume masks covering the face will not be allowed this year.
A costume is something that is worn, anything that is carried is not acceptable.
Please use common sense and good judgment.
REMEMBER, IF YOUR OUTFIT IS DEEMED INAPPROPRIATE YOU WILL BE ASKED TO CHANGE.
For those who choose to dress up, we hope you enjoy your day!
That's all for now. Enjoy this beautiful Friday!
-Brian.

RED RIBBON WEEK 2020
Red Ribbon Week 2020
Red Ribbon Week is the oldest and largest drug prevention awareness campaign in the US and is celebrated annually from October 23-31.
This year we’ve partnered with the Webster Health and Education Network: A Drug Free Community Coalition (WHEN:DFCC) to share activities families can do to strengthen “protective factors”, that help kids of all ages avoid the negative impacts of early drug and alcohol exposure. You’ll find ideas listed for each day, but feel free to use them in any order and adapt them to your needs. View Red Ribbon Week activities at: https://www.whendfcc.org/red-ribbon-week-2020
For more ideas and tips to help Webster kids grow up strong and substance free, subscribe to WHEN:DFCC’s monthly newsletter at: https://www.whendfcc.org/subscribe or follow WHEN:DFCC on Facebook and Twitter: @whendfcc.
