We Are Off To A Great Start!

Dear Woodbrook Families,

We are off to a great start! It is no surprise that your children have made a wonderful transition back to school. Arrival and dismissal have become routine (thank you) and children have been doing a great job of finishing their lunches and cleaning up daily.

Children are doing a wonderful job of wearing their masks during class and participating in all phases of the class!

This is a tribute to your wonderful coaching at home, our amazing students, and our fabulous Woodbrook staff!

A tremendous thanks to all parents for their cooperation and understanding with regard to our health and safety protocols. Please know that we will require a negative COVID test (PCR) when a student presents with symptoms, even if you and your doctor are confident the symptoms are due to allergies/other issues.

Thank you for your patience with regard to BUSES! WB11 is still not running. I understand everyone's frustration with the situation. There is an extreme shortage of bus drivers in NJ and the vendors are trying to cover the routes. I do not normally receive any information in the morning regarding late buses. I do update the dismissal of buses and, thanks to a parent's input, I have added a "time departed Woodbrook" column for more accuracy to the bus dismissal form.

This year, grades 4 & 5 will take a short standardized assessment called Start Strong on October 12 & 13. You may see the practice problems here: https://nj.mypearsonsupport.com/practice-tests/ These tests will help us meet your children's needs.

All students in grades 3, 4 & 5 will take a test for Gifted & Talented programs during the month of September.

Thank you!

Mrs. Cirillo

IMPORTANT DISMISSAL INFORMATION...PLEASE ALWAYS CALL THE OFFICE AND SPEAK TO A STAFF MEMBER IN PERSON (NO VOICEMAILS) WHEN CHANGING ANY DISMISSAL (ex: Latchkey to Bus). PARENTS HAVE BEEN EMAILING TEACHERS, BUT IF THE TEACHER IS ABSENT OR DOES NOT CHECK EMAIL DURING THE DAY, THERE CAN BE A MISTAKE.

PTO...JOIN THE PTO USING THE MOBILEARC APP

Join us for our first PTO meeting in the Woodbrook Cafe on Wednesday, October 13 at 7 p.m.

We will start with a Head Class Parent meeting at 6:30 p.m. and then move into the general meeting.

We are excited to welcome new members to our group. The PTO supports the children and our school. For example, our PTO has just purchased personal speakers to help all classroom teachers amplify their voices while wearing their masks. This is just one example of how PTO funds are used at Woodbrook.
