CMSS MONDAY MESSAGE...
April 9, 2018
R.E.A.L. Panthers
RESPECT, EXPLORE, ACHIEVE, LEAD
SPECIAL FACULTY MEETING
Dr. Thurman will be coming to speak to the faculty and staff about the new security measures for MSS and giving information about the upcoming millage vote.
REAL ROOM CHANGES
Starting Monday, all students will be given 3 days to return any discipline notices. If not returned, Mrs. Ashe will then notify the teacher who assigned the discipline notice by email and phone contact must be made to parent by the teacher.
Administration will make contact to parents as well of those we write discipline notices for and not returned.
Thank you for your understanding and I wholeheartedly feel this will help in discipline issues.
Message from the Boss...
Teachers-
Count Down...
34 Instructional Days
ID badges MUST be worn. If you do not have one please let me know and I will find some time for you to go to Central Office to have one made.
The next weeks need to be stress free. Testing season is here but students do not need to see or feel stress. Be sure to go over your schedule next week. It will be a different schedule and I appreciate everyone's patience and flexibility.
Love you,
Casey Hanna
TESTING INFO
1. Be sure that you have clock in your room for time checks.
2. Be sure you have enough Chrombooks in your classroom for all students and that they will be charged and ready to go on testing days.
3. Headphones- check to make sure that your text to speech students have headphones available.
4. Make sure your classroom materials are covered before testing dates. I will check 5th grade classrooms on Monday, April 9th and 6th grade classrooms on Wednesday, April 11th.
SUPPLEMENTAL SALARY NOTEBOOKS
April 20th - Supplemental Salary notebooks due to building administrator for review
May 1st - Supplemental Salary notebooks due to personnel
PD CHECKOUT
The Administrator that will check your PD will be the one that completed your observations this year. We will not begin to check out PD until after testing.
**This is just your heads up!
Let me know if you have any questions.
FIELD TRIP REMINDERS:
Teachers if you have a field trip coming up let the cafeteria know. This way they can make sure there is food available for emergency lunches, if needed.
IF they know that they will need lunches to let Mrs. Dianna know a approximate number needed AT LEAST three weeks BEFORE field trip so she can order food. The cafeteria will only send juice with field trips.
Chaperones: these are the parents that MUST pass the background check and are in charge of students. Mrs. Cheryl has the list of those parents. You CAN NOT approve a parent to be a chaperone until the background check has been cleared. Chaperones can ride the bus.
Volunteers: these are parents that go on the field trip but NOT in charge of students. They CAN NOT ride the bus. They take their own vehicle and met you there. They do not have to have a background check but it is recommended.
Let me know if you have any additional questions.
