http://www.onetruemedia.com/& http://animoto.com/ allow users to create videos by mixing your photos and video with special effects, text and music. Both sites allow free videos up to 30 seconds and both have reasonable upgrade fees that will allow for longer videos and downloads.

VOKI
http://www.voki.com/ allows teachers and students to create characters that can be customized to look like historical figures, cartoons, animals, and even yourself! Audio is created by recording with a microphone, using a dial-in number, or uploading an audio file. Voki characters can be emailed, shared on social media, and embedded on websites!
POPPLET
I just found this program in a library list serve email this morning. http://popplet.com/ integrates text, images, videos, and Google maps. It can be used as a bulletin board, to explore ideas, and to collaborate with other users AND there's and app for your personal device.
GLOGSTER
http://www.glogster.com/ allows users to create interactive posters loaded with text, graphics, music, videos, and more. The site also has an EDU feature to allow for interactive student projects.
SNAGIT
Snagit is a screenshot program that captures video display and audio output. Snagit replaces the native print screen function with additional features by allowing batch capture of embedded items such as links, pictures, and multimedia. Snagit is not a free web based program but they do allow a free 30 day trial.
