Meet The New Principal
I would like to welcome you to Marshall High School, Home of the Cardinals. As we prepare to embark on a new school year, I am humbled to begin this chapter in my professional and personal life to serve as your learning leader. I expect our work to be one grounded in collaboration to grow and strengthen our Marshall community on behalf of the young adults who bring us together.
As your new Principal, I commit to learning, leading, and having fun together. High School holds a special place in my heart; it is in these formative years that we prepare each individual to thrive in adulthood, for whatever their tomorrow holds. It is a challenging feat, which is why we need one another to ensure all Marshall learners are successful.
As an Educator, I began my teaching career at the high school level, teaching Spanish in the suburbs of Chicago. I returned home to Green Bay, WI to teach Spanish among my former teachers at both the middle and high school level. I earned my first Masters degree in Educational Technology, which afforded me the opportunity to serve ten PK-12 Green Bay Public Schools as a technology integrator before returning one last year to teach Spanish until my husband, also a teacher, and I moved abroad to serve in American international schools in Bangkok, Thailand and Maracaibo, Venezuela. While abroad, I earned a second Masters degree in Educational Leadership. Having returned to Wisconsin, I served as a World Languages Curriculum Coordinator and a middle school Associate Principal.
Apart from my professional and educational background, I was an avid soccer player into my adult years, when I began running, albeit, slowly. I set a goal to run 10 full marathons, and I am happy to say I met that goal, finishing my last full marathon in Paris, France last year. I have found jogging and lifting weights to help me focus and reach challenges. It is important to have goals, no matter how large or small! Such challenges I set for myself have kept me striving to become a better human being, even when life throws curve balls. Of course, I also like my downtime, relaxing by reading both professional reads and young adult novels, traveling, and spending time with my two pugs, Hamilton and Oliver. It's no lie that after a tough day, coming home to two curly-tailed pugs just makes one forget for a moment about their woes.
As we get to know one another, I hope you find me to be approachable, honest, grateful for the opportunities before me to serve and lead, and someone who aims to provide the best for all our learners. I look forward to teaming with you to ensure a safe, fun, and wholesome experience for our Marshall High School learning community.
Mrs. Sharin Tebo

Marshall HS and to help you celebrate the amazing happenings in our learning community.
Our Twitter feed is linked up to the Marshall High School Facebook page, too.
You can like us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/MHSCardinals

Building Safety & Security
Welcome Officer Nickel
Marshall School Resource Officer - Officer Joe Nickel
The Marshall Police Department and Marshall Public Schools are pleased to announce that Officer Joe Nickel will become the District School Resource Officer on August 27. Officer Nickel joined the Marshall Police Department in 2015. Joe has served as a 2nd Shift Officer and a Field Training Officer for new employees during his employment with Marshall Police Department. Officer Nickel has had the opportunity to be involved with numerous district activities and interactions with students. “The SRO position is an excellent way for the Department to provide a positive example to the children in the community and continue to build relationships and trust with the youth that will hopefully translate to an overall improvement to the community as a whole as children grow and become adults” - Officer Joe Nickel.
Officer Nickel will be serving as a full time School Resource Officer supporting each of Marshall’s students. He will assist with school safety concerns, before, during and after school hours. Officer Nickel will also educate students and staff on safety topics ranging from internet safety to developing safety measures across the District. Officer Nickel will be available to bridge the gap between the Police Department and each of the stakeholders in the school district. Officer Nickel recently attended the School Resource Officer Conference and will be participating in the National Association of School Resource Officer Basic SRO course at the end of July.
Officer Nickel relocated to the Marshall Police Department after working for the Shiocton Police Department. Prior to his education at University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh, he served in the Military for 8 years where he held several leadership roles including being a member of the Emergency Response Force.
