Muscle Shoals High School will present Mary Poppins on May 2-4 at 7:00PM in the Stratford auditorium. Tickets are $12.00 general admission or $10.00 ages 5 and under. Tickets may be purchased in the high school office or online at www.gofan.co/muscleshoalstrojans


Back in March, the Chorus Department presented Hamilton: An American Musical in front of over 600 people on March 18. The show was full of energy, talent, and incredible history. We can't wait to see Mary Poppins!

Boys & Girls Tennis - Making Us Proud!

Congratulations to the boys and girls tennis teams for qualifying for the state tournament in Mobile. Mason Stevens and Joe Don Anderson won number 2 doubles, Mason Stevens won number 2 singles, Jackson Hall won number 3 singles, and Luke Hester won number six singles. Carlie Smith, CaraGrace Carroll, Ragan Burleson, and Maya Stevens all made it to the singles finals for the girls, and Caitlyn Collins and Carlie smith made it to the finals at 2 doubles. Congratulations!

Boys Basketball Tryouts

Boys basketball tryouts will be the last full week of school, May 13th through May 17th. Anyone wanting to try out needs to register with Coach Barker and will need a current physical on file in order to participate. Times will be announced as we get closer to the dates.

FBLA has started accepting Applications for the 2019-2020 Officer Positions. Students interested, should complete the application and return it to Mrs. Stonecipher no later than Friday, April 26th. Officer selections will be posted in May.

IT Academy Awards Announced

1) Jennifer Wade has been selected as a finalist in the 2018 Alabama Governor's App Challenge where she will present her app on April 30th to Computer Science teachers across Alabama at the CS Summit in hopes of winning $1,000 if her app wins 1st Place.


2) The following students were winners in the recent FBLA State Competition this month:

1st Place - Intro to IT - Clay Davis

2nd Place - Intro to IT - Owen Tinkham

3rd Place - Intro to IT - Jackson Butler

4th Place - Intro to IT - Harris Tomlinson

2nd Place - Computer Game and Simulation Programming - Jake Farris

3rd Place - Business Calculations - Caroline Wade

4th Place - Website Design - Jakob Robertson


3) Jennifer Wade and Jessica Isbell will be recognized as NCWIT (National Centers for Women In Technology) Aspirations in Computing Alabama Award Winners! 4.300 ladies applied across the US, 400 were chosen and 2 from Muscle Shoals! They will be recognized for this achievement at the University of Alabama on Saturday, April 27, 2019.

Welding Students Excel

Jacob Davis, Logan McCalpin, and Tyler Crowell placed third at Skills USA in Welding Fabrication on 4-16-18 in Birmingham. "These guys did a great job in fabricating a metal table and designing the prints with all the welding symbols and completing the project," said teacher Joel C. Retherford.

There will be a Senior Class meeting with Guidance Counselors on Monday, April 29 at 11:00 in the auditorium. Mrs. Garrett will discuss Graduation and Honor Day.

Course Request Forms are due to Guidance by Tuesday, April 30. Also, AP Contracts are due on this date as well. No course changes will be honored after April 30.
