Welcome to Our House "Where Character Matters"

Dear Botsford Families,

We have had dozens of students recognized for showing good character in these first two weeks of school. Students are being presented with "Character Matters" cards when they are seen showing 1 of our 8 qualities of good character. Our focus as we begin the year is on KINDNESS. Extending kindness to everyone we meet is an act we will never regret. As a Botsford Community let's use our words and actions to build each other up. Our words have power. Perhaps we will forget tomorrow the kind words we shared today, but the recipients may cherish those words over a lifetime. Choose Kindness!

What does it mean when my child says he belongs in a house at school?

Something new and exciting is happening at Botsford this year! You might have heard your son or daughter talk about an assembly where the staff were divided into 4 colored houses. Our colored houses are red, yellow, blue or green. Each house represents two qualities of good character and each house will be responsible for teaching all the Bobcats about the qualities of good character at our biweekly den meetings. Your son or daughter is assigned the same house color as his or her den leader. This is part of PBIS and will help us to continue to build a positive culture and sense of shared community at Botsford. Our next den meeting is September 29th 8:45-9:20. You are welcome to attend and hear more.
