Third Grade in the News!

May 4th - May 8th

ACES- All Children Exercising Simultaneously

What We Are Learning This Week

Language Arts with Mrs. Trueblood: We are going to continue our book club on the I Survived series. These fictional stories are based on historical events. We will be having great discussions, as well as incorporating our reading and writing skills into various activities.

***Each child needs earphones to keep at school to use when working on the computers.

Science with Mrs. Naragon: We have finished our unit on plants and will now be moving on to our life science unit on animals.

Social Studies with Mrs. Naragon: Students will research, identify and compare the heroic deeds of state and national heroes.

Math with Mrs. Moore: Next week students will be presenting a lesson to the class. They have been working in groups to design a lesson to teach the class. Their lesson must include an activity and a quiz. I look forward to seeing their creativity!

Great Expectations of the Week

Life Principle: PATIENCE

Quote: "Have patience. All things are difficulty before they become easy." - Saddi

Healthy Tip: If you watch a lot of TV in the evenings, try doing jumping jacks or stretches during the commercial breaks. Even a little bit of exercise will help you build a healthier body.
