Second Grade!!!!!!

Some Huskies have returned back to school face to face as some of us are continuing to remain on line virtually. We are rocking and rolling as we make this transition back to the building. Please remember to bring all school supplies for those who are face to face as well we must mask up daily and stay social distance from each other.

Algunos Estudiantes han regresado a la escuela para instruccion presencial mientras otros estudiantes permaneceran de forma virtual desde el hogar. Estamos teniendo exito durante la transicion de regreso al edificio escolar. Por favor recuerden traer todos sus materiales escolares, su mascarilla y mantener siempre el distanciamiento social.


Mrs. Murray' s Husky Student of the Week- Olamidipupo Olamidipupo is a very kind and helpful student. He is always ready and prepared for the day. He is dedicated and a responsible as well. He like to participate in class, hard worker and enjoy learning new things. He like to take care of his younger siblings at home. I am very proud of Olamidipupo. Way To Go Olamidipupo!!!!!!

Olamidipupo is a very kind and helpful student. He is always ready and prepared for the day. He is dedicated and a responsible as well. He like to participate in class, hard worker and enjoy learning new things. He like to take care of his younger siblings at home. I am very proud of Olamidipupo. Way To Go Olamidipupo!!!!!!


Mrs. Salarda's Husky Student of the Week Elizabeth D. Elizabeth is always ready to start the day. She always has a smile on her face and ready to start the day. She is very positive in everything that she does and very friendly to the people around her. She is a joy in the classroom. She is very helpful and always striving to do her very best. She shows great leadership, and she is also a good follower. She loves school and she loves to learn new things. I am very proud to say that Elizabeth truly deserves the title of Husky of the Week. She's a great role model to her peers. I am truly proud of her for doing a great job! Keep it up!	Mr. Arango's Husky Student of the Week Mario is a very smart and dedicated student. Math Learning Objectives

All week students will subtract numbers within 20 mentally using different strategies.
At the beginning of the week students will use subtraction strategies and algorithms to subtract numbers within 100 without regrouping.
During the week students will subtract numbers within 1,000 regrouping in the ones and tens.
By the end of the week the students will be subtracting numbers within 1,000 regrouping in the tens and hundreds .
Students will subtract from a 3- digit number with zeros by regrouping in hundreds, tens, and ones.
Students will complete the Unit Assessment for Subtraction to 1,000.

Toda la semana los estudiantes de Segundo Grado utilizarán diferentes estrategias para restar mentalmente números hasta 20.

Al inicio de la semana los estudiantes restarán números hasta 100 usando diversas estrategias de resta.

Durante la semana los estudiantes restarán números de 3 dígitos hasta 1,000 reagrupando las unidades y las decenas.

Al finalizar la semana los estudiantes estarán restando números de 3 dígitos reagrupando las decenas y las centenas.

Reading Learning Objectives/ Objetivos de Lectura

This week we are starting a new unit. As the students read, they will build deep topic knowledge about interacting with others and working out disagreements. The essential question for this module is, HOW CAN PEOPLE WORK OUT DISAGREEMENTS?

The learner will:

Identify real-life connections between words and their use.

Recognize characteristics of of informational text

Recognize the central idea by using supporting evidence.

Esta semana hemos empezado un nuevo modulo. Los estudiantes leeran y desarrollaran conocimiento sobre como solucionar desacuerdos. La pregunta de la semana es: Como podemos solucionar los desacuerdos?

El estudiante lograra:

Identificar conecciones entre la vida real usando el vocabulario nuevo.

Reconocera las caracteristicas de un texto de informacion.

Go to "Parents communication's" folders in Schoology to look for your child's teacher's zoom ID and Password

Parents please make sure that your child logs in in Schoology to complete the assignments. Report Card will go home via Home Access Center on October 15th.

Ver el folder "Comunicacion con los padres" en Schoology para encontrar el acceso a las lecciones por zoom con el maestro/a de su hijo/a.

Por favor asegurese que su hijo pueda entrar a Schoology para terminar sus asignaciones o tareas. El Reporte de Progreso (Report Card) se enviara por Home Access Center el 15 de Octubre.
