You may find yourself asking, "who is this?" Well, I will tell you. He is a famous clarinetist from the Roaring 20's. He is famous for being the first notable jazz saxophonist. Some people call him the "Almost-Forgotten Jazz Immoral". Born on May 14, 1897 and he passed exactly 62 years later on May 14, 1959 this man began performing in 1925.
Something You May Never Have Known About Him
He decided that in high school he was going to teach one of the boys that looked up to him to play the sax. He is now in his OWN band that is focused on the works of his favorite instructor, Mr. Sidney Bechet.
