Mr. Mauck's Musings
I know many people are hurting with the loss of Mrs. Schnell and her youngest daughter. Julie's oldest daughter is recovering and mending well. Julie was an outstanding educator, who brightened the lives of every student in her class. She had the ability to make students feel like they were the most important person in the room. She taught and loved each one of them like they were her own. Julie was not only the professional everyone should strive to become, she was the type of person everyone should strive to become. She will be missed and never forgotten. Her legacy will be the thousands of lives she made better.
Thank you to our community, neighboring schools, the staff, and above all the students at Jasper High School. Our students handled this horrible situation with grace and compassion for everyone. Today we held a Christmas dress-up day that Mrs. Schnell was organizing. She would have been proud to see our students and staff live out the characteristics she championed. We will continue to move forward and teach the lessons Julie taught all of us. Please keep the Schnells in your thoughts and prayers.
