Term Two "Thank You from the Board"
The Board would like to thank Fiona Kearns for her strength, mahi and leadership as Acting Principal during Term 2.
The Board also thanks the St Brigid’s staff who continue to show resilience during these times. We hope that you all have a blessed and relaxing break over the holidays, you all very much deserve this time to be with whānau and recharge.
Thank you to our whānau and community for your ongoing support of our young people. We wish you a great holiday break and look forward to seeing everyone next term.

Learning Conversations (All Rooms)
Dates for these learning conversations are Wednesday 3 August and Thursday 4 August.
Team Whā Market Day
Team Whā are holding their biannual market day tomorrow, Wednesday 6 July in Rooms 13 and 14. Our sale hours are from 8.30am until 3.30pm. Students are encouraged to bring some money so they can purchase items from the various stalls - students will be timetabled to visit the stalls with their class.
We have:
- Second hand uniforms (in the library 8.30am-9.15am and 2.45pm-3.30pm),
- Food, sweets, games, toys, bookmarks, lucky dips, drinks, and much more.
Parents/caregivers are welcome to come and purchase stall items before and after school but must wear a mask.
Confirmation Programme
For children going through the Sacramental Programme this year there will be a Confirmation programme in September/October.
The following is the July/August programme for children involved in the Sacramental Programme in 2020 or 2021 who missed out on Confirmation.
For the preparation there are two options:
Either, a day session on Tuesday 12 July 10am - 4pm (Ss Peter and Paul’s);
Or two half sessions; one session on Sunday 24 July 10am - 12:30pm (St Ben's school library) and one session on Sunday 31 July 1pm - 4:30pm (Ss Peter and Paul’s);
The practice for all these candidates is on Friday 5 August, 4:30pm - 5:30pm at Sts Peter and Paul’s Church.
News from the Library
We will be having our annual Scholastic Book Fair in Week 2 of Term 3, which will include:
Book Character Day on Friday 5 August
(students can dress up as their favourite Book Character)
Art competition - Enter a drawing/painting of “Your favourite ANIMAL Book Character” (entries due in by Friday 29 July, so students might like to get creative during the school holidays).
More details regarding the Book Fair will follow next term.
YEAR 9 IN 2023 ENROLMENTS AT ST PATRICK’S COLLEGE CLOSE ON FRIDAY 29 JULY
A reminder that enrolments close off on Friday 29 July and that you are now able to enrol
your son online, as we now have this option available, via our Website.

When enrolling your son online you need to ensure that you upload the following
documents:
1. the signed Preference Certificate from the parish priest
2. a copy of either your son’s birth certificate or passport
3. the completed Archdiocese of Wellington Attendance Dues agreement
You can also download the enrolment form and required papers and either post, hand or
email your application through to the college.
