1st Grade
2nd Grade
Second grade students read the story “I Am Not a Turkey” and were put to the task to keep their turkey safe from Farmer Brown. Students used a variety of unique materials to create disguises from hot air balloons, football players, Starbucks lattes to Taylor Swift.
Farmer Brown was stumped and could not find any turkeys at Bell-Graham thanks to our creative second graders! Farmer Brown and his family decided to have pizza instead.
A few of 2G’s Turkeys in Disguise are pictured below.
3rd Grade
4th Grade
This month fourth grade was exposed to a variety of genres through the Wonders Curriculum. The children have enjoyed reading and learning about dramas and poems, specifically they learned to read and write a haiku. Mr. Vanderbleek uses his LRC time with the children to discuss poetry elements such as meter, rhyme. alliterations and assonance.
5th Grade
The month of November has been an exciting one for 5th grade. We started with prepping for our annual Veteran’s Day Assembly in which we hosted current and past Veterans, 5th grade families, as well as Bell Graham staff and students. We could not be more proud of all of our students for their stoic and respectful tribute towards our Nation’s Veterans.
