2020-2021-Our Year to Shine
A year of Innovation, A year of Learning, A year of connections
Crownhill staff members have been learning new strategies and technology. We have been meeting together and planning ways to connect and engage and provide educational experiences in new and exciting ways. We may not be physically in the same space as we begin the school year, but we will be connected by our common goals, our devices and our hearts. You will see references throughout the year to lights. This symbol represents for us, the light within each child that will shine brightly and remind us of our purpose in this work. A light bulb also represents good ideas, growth mindset, and contentedness. When people tried to discourage him when trying to light the dark, Thomas Edison said, "I have not failed, I have found 10,000 ways that won't work." We will continue to adjust our plans and find the ways that do work to teach your children in new ways.
Parents, you are our partners, as you have always been. Now, more than ever, we will be working together for the students. Communication is the key. Please reach out, tell us what is working, what is not, and share your expertise about your children. Together, we will shine and spark the shine in our students.
