Family Days
for Children with Special Abilities
Join us for Exploration of our Community!
Parents are the main influence in a child's life, and family involvement is a key ingredient to a child's success in and out of the classroom. The purpose of this project is to promote awareness of community services and organizations that offer creative, engaging and healthy-minded programs for children of all ages and abilities.

First Family Day!
Event Information
Buddy Walk
The first event in our series is put on by the West Texas Down Syndrome Society. Many of our students are featured on this special day. Food, games, and of course the wonderful, sprawling park are all available for your family day fun.
Region 15 will have a table and tent set up for you to come and socialize, set up a picnic blanket, and bring your own lunch or grab a burger or dog from the food truck.
The event is free for everyone. And if you are worried that the walk is long, it's not! It is a short jaunt around the edge of the park.
Sign Language Interpreters provided by West Texas Interpreting Network, LLC.
