SAUSD FACE Newsletter: January 8th, 2021
Dear FACE Partners,
Happy New Year! For most of us, 2020 is a year we are glad to see in the rear-view mirror. Between the pandemic, the many personal and professional struggles, and the responsibilities we have all had to juggle over the past 12 months, it has been challenging, to say the least.
Disruption is always rough when you’re going through it, but as we begin this new year, let's reflect back on some of the silver linings that came out of the past year.
One of the most gratifying parts of this past disorienting and stressful year for our team has been the opportunity to work with our SAUSD families in navigating what is now “the new normal.” It has been a learning process for all of us—adapting and adjusting on the fly to remote work environments and the new realities of our day-to-day lives. At the same time, it has never been clearer how important things like motivation, attitude and beliefs are, especially when it comes to forging ahead in difficult times. If anything, 2020 reinforced our core values and beliefs as a community: We will always rise to the occasion.
So let us begin this New Year with the confidence that regardless of what is ahead of us, we are stronger together.
