The Bobcat Bulletin
16/June/2022 - Last Day of School Edition

From the Principal
Dear FMS Families,
We have had a wonderful week of celebrations, transitions and community. We have brought back many school traditions, and started some anew. Students have met their teachers for next year and our 5th graders have spent time at their new school, EMS. We welcomed our new 3rd graders. Students have attended field trips and played together.
We have also started to mourn a member of our 5th grade community. Monday was a tough day for many students and staff as we processed the news of Addi Carroll's death. Many students shared beautiful memories of Addi. We miss her dearly.
The 5th grade celebrated the end of the year by taking a field trip to Spare Time. On the way back to school, they saw the beautiful rainbow below. Some students remarked that they felt like Addi was with her class that day.
Summer brings changes of routine for many families. Whether your child participates in formal summer learning or not, here are a few guidelines to consider to help maintain your child's learning this summer.
- Stick to a routine
- Read at least 20 minutes per day
- Listen to audiobooks
- Limit screen time
We look forward to welcoming you all back for the 2022-23 school year. Please reach out with any questions and have a wonderful summer!
Sincerely,
Sara Jablonski
