Parkwood-Upjohn Elementary had a beautiful evening for their school movie night last week.
At Washington Writers' Academy, CIS site coordinator, Frederick "Deon" Daniel, has started Dressed for Success Wednesdays. All of the school's men of color dress up for the day and model professional/business/casual attire in different ways for the young men of color at WWA. The plan is to challenge the young men to do the same over the course of the year. Pictured are: second grade teacher L. "Buster" Smith, Frederick "Deon" Daniel, activity helper Tyce Hawkins, and fourth-fifth science and social studies teacher Aaron Mason.
