Note from the School Board regarding 2023-2024 Spring Break
Dear HCS Families - back in 2022, we received word from the St. Joe County ISD that the Superintendents of the Districts had voted to move Spring Break from the first week of April to the last week of March. In an effort to keep our school families informed (for planning purposes, etc...), the Board wanted to let you know of the change as soon as possible. The ISD Superintendents have since voted to rescind their overall decision, but will keep Spring Break for 2024 to be the last week in March and then in 2025 return to the first week of April. Because this is not a permanent decision and there are ramifications for ITerm week, the Mexico Missions Trip, etc... the Board has voted to keep our Spring Break to be the first week of April in 2024 and HCS will be back on track with Three Rivers and the other county schools the following year. The 2023-2024 calendar is attached and you will see it reflected as it has been changed back to follow our previous pattern. We are hopeful that this does not cause to much of a problem for families and that there is time for you to make any adjustments necessary. We apologize for the confusion.

Welcome to HCS!
The HCS School Board would like to welcome Mr. David Cripps to the HCS Staff. David will be taking over the HCS Athletic Department. He recently graduated from Maranatha Baptist University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business with an emphasis in Sports Management & Coaching. We are excited to have David join our staff at HCS and have him involved in athletics at HCS again!
SUMMER Soccer
Looking to improve your skills, get in shape or just hang out with your friends from school.
Open soccer, small-sided games and drills – Open to 6th Grade to Senior Citizen.
Saturday June 17th, 24th 9:00-10:30AM
Thursday June 29th, July 13th 6:30-8:00 PM
Other dates may be announced.
Soccer Camp: For 8th-12th grade. July 24th - 27th 6:30-8:00 PM at HCS Cost $25. Camp is run by Matt Arcangeli currently a coach at the Red Arrow travel club. Matt played soccer locally at Vicksburg, then played and was a student coach at the University of Wisconsin Madison.
Online Training Program: Looking for something more intense and not sure what to try. Try the option below for a 20-30 minute daily program that will improve your touch on the ball. To use the program you must be able to watch the daily video on a phone or other device and have space to dribble the ball. Cost after discount $96.

HCS Wish List
GYM Floor Project - The School Board will be starting a gym floor replacement fund. Our current floor is original to the HCS gym building and served us well for many years. It gets used for gym classes, athletic events, graduations ceremonies, Christmas Programs, indoor recess and much more! If you feel led to give, please send donations in to the HCS office.
Praise the Lord we received donations totaling $51,000 for the gym floor! We are making progress!
