Mock Job Interviews
CONGRATULATIONS to all seniors who participated in mock job interviews on November 14th, 15th, and 16th, your preparation and professionalism did not go unnoticed and boy oh boy, did you represent Red Lion Area SHS with pride! While I watched each of you arrive at the Library, with cover letter and resume in hand, with shoulders back, a smile on your face, I knew you were destined for greatness. Your hard work and preparation truly paid off.
Over the course of three mornings, 289 students completed their mock job interview with one of 54 visiting business professionals. Our guests were wowed by your honesty, your dedication to the task at hand, and diligence in completing your cover letters and resumes. I am so very, very proud of each and everyone of you!
For those students who were unable to attend the scheduled days, a make-up day will be offered in December. When that date is solidified, all students will be notified in advance.
Did you know?
Did you know that each time the marquee in front of the school is updated, it is done by our Life Skills class?

Volunteers Needed for JA Stem Summit
We have an IMPORTANT need for volunteers for an event that is going on at Red Lion Area High School on Tuesday, December 5th and Wednesday, December 6th. Junior Achievement of South Central PA will be here with their STEM Summit program and all 400, 9th graders will be participating in day long activities designed to inspire students to pursue careers in STEM fields.
Volunteers will work alongside other volunteers to facilitate one thirty- minute activity eight times during the day with small groups of students. Check out the link to the Volunteer Overview in the attached flyer for more information. You can also view the activities on our website. https://www.jascpa.org/stemsummittraining
JA will provide training the morning of the event and as soon as you sign up you will receive a link to both written instructions and a brief training video. You do not need to have any specific background or training to help. Red Lion High School will provide a light breakfast and lunch!
We are still in need of 7 volunteers or December 5th and 6 more volunteers for December 6th to fill the day. I hope you will please join us as we spend the day impacting and inspiring our students at our school! I also hope you will share this opportunity with other friends, neighbors and colleagues who may be interested in helping the students of our school!
To sign up or for more information, please contact Shannon Baker at Sbaker@jascpa.org or click on this link, Junior Achievement STEM Summit Volunteer Sign Up.

The Senior High has PRIDE!
The P.R.I.D.E. Program is a character education framework which teaches and instills the virtues of being Personable, being Respectful, having Integrity, being Dependable, and being Engaged in both the school and community.
At the Senior High, not only are staff able to recognize student achievements; but also our students may recognize the good in other students or staff members. Through our online form, we are able to promote the good throughout our school and show each other the PRIDE the Senior High brings each day. The form can be accessed at: http://tinyurl.com/priderecognition or by using the QR code below.
