All about water

Why is water so important?
Water has numerous purposes to us and the world. Without water we could only live for a few days and then die of dehydration! Water needs to be clean to drink or we could die or get hurt because it’s not clean! Keep water clean and healthy.
The water cycle
Evaporation
When water evaporates the gas that's going up is water vapor. Water vapor is an invisible gas. The sun is the main source of the water cycle.
Condensation
Clouds form when water vapor heats up and goes into the sky. Some types of condensation are dew, fog, and clouds.
Precipitation
Precipitation comes down in many forms. First of all precipitation starts out as ice crystals. Depending on the temperature of the air this makes all the different types of precipitation. Once the cloud (condensation) is too heavy with precipitation it falls. Some types of precipitation are rain, freezing rain (like rain but when it lands it freezes), sleet, or snow.
Runoff/soaks in
Much of the water that returns to Earth as precipitation runs off the surface of the land, and flows downhill into streams, rivers, ponds and lakes. Another place the precipitation goes to is it sinks into the ground, that's what groundwater is made of.
Different types of clouds
There are many different types of clouds.
Different types of precipitation
Rain, freezing rain, hail and snow are four types of precipitation.

Salt & fresh water
Solid , liquid , and gasses
Solid
Solid particles are packed together. When a liquid is cold enough it will turn into a solid.
Liquid
Liquid particles are still touching but not as close as solid particles.
Gas
Gas particles are everywhere and just float around where ever they want. When a liquid is warm enough it can turn into a gas.
Mass of water
The mass of water stays the same. When you have 2 cups of water that weigh the same, freeze 1 cup and leave the other cup as water (without it doing the water cycle like evaporate). Then weigh the 2 cups and they will be the same.
