Grade 2 Community Reading

We had such a great time with Malcolm Mitchell. He read his new book, My Very Favorite Book in the Whole Wide World, which is about a boy who struggles to find his favorite book. He realizes that sometimes the best stories are the ones we tell ourselves. He shared with us some of his real-life inspiration for the story. We learned that Malcolm has a real passion for literacy and putting book in children's hands. He has done a lot of work in this area. Malcolm says that of all his accomplishments, including winning the Super Bowl with the Patriots, his love of reading and all he has done to persevere through hard times is what he is most proud of. He was a great presenter and clearly loves what he does!
