"Quote of the Week"
All In!
The Fall Semester is rapidly coming to an end. By now many of the action plans and instructional strategies are in place and we need to make sure we are following up and monitoring the students that we know can achieve but are not reaching their potential. There are often many factors that contribute to their lack of motivation. I believe I stated at the beginning of the school year that we may not know "What it takes for our students to show up everyday!" please remember the relationship component of our job it will go a long way to easing some of our concerns.
Student Organization Plans
I was asked by a group of parents during our community walk about how we can help our students with organization. After speaking witht he AVID Site Team, here are some suggestions for the remainder of this year and for next year. When a student is having dificulty with organization suggest for them to get a binder with folders for each class. One side of the folder is for completed work and the other side for work in progress. Also in this binder, have them to get a supply pouch. For next year, we will include a binder and eight folders as a school wide supply need for all students. If you suggestions for the 2019-2020 school supply list see MR. McWilliams.
