Swift - Slaybaugh Complex
June 26, 2022
Dear Swift-Slaybaugh Families,
It's hard to believe it, but we finally made it! When I think back to the first day of school, starting out another year with so many unknowns and those little masked faces, many coming to us never having experienced a "normal school year." Now on the last day of school we get to see all those smiling faces again, unmasked, and feeling proud for having completed a normal school year with their awesome teachers. It has been an honor to lead our school community through a year of change this year and a slow crawl back toward the experiences we offered prior to the pandemic. The students have been so resilient, and so have the staff, and to say I am proud of them all is an understatement. Thank you so much to our Swift-Slaybaugh families for your cooperation and support. I wish you and your children a safe, relaxing, and fun summer. We will be busy planning an academically enriching and fun 22-23 school year. If you need anything over the summer, please feel free to reach out. The building will be open to receive phone calls 7:00-5:00, Monday Thursday. Thank you again for everything.

Third Grade's Got Talent!
Mrs. Bernadino's class had fun performing different acts for their talent show! They shared sports skills, taught each other Spanish, shared books they wrote, shared drawings they created, presented step-by-step drawing instructions, sang karaoke, made turkey hunting calls, and told jokes. Their classroom has so much talent; it was a great event!

Climate and Culture
Slaybaugh Elementary's 2nd and 3rd Graders all worked on this mural with Art Teacher, Mrs. Stom,
as part of their Fun Day. It took many hands, and a lot of paint to get the job the job done..."Adventure Awaits"!
Happy Summer Reading!
Students at Swift had fun choosing books for summer reading, provided by the Swift School Library.
