Volunteer Hours for Students!
Winter Dinner Dance & Silent Auction
Trombones, Euphoniums and Tubas: Game Nigh Basket (favorite games, puzzles, popcorn, candy, etc.)
Flutes, Oboes, Bassoon and Bass Clarinets: London Memories (Anything representing London, Britain, Parade pics, concert pics, scenery pics, maps, souvenirs, Music, etc., etc.)
Percussion: Summer Basket (Summer band items: water thermos, paint pens, apron, drawstring bag, Pool/Beach toys, beach towel, sunscreen, sunglasses, water balloons, etc.)
Soprano Clarinets and Saxophones of all types: Movie Lovers basket (Favorite movies, Oscar nominated movies, movie ticket gift cards, popcorn, snacks, etc.)
Trumpets and French Horns : Valentine basket (anything related to Valentine's Day, wine, spirits, chocolates, jewelry, candles, candies, anything heart shaped, etc., etc.)
Thank you very much to those who have generously given already! We know everyone is very busy and is asked to give to many school causes. If you will choose to donate at least one of the following, it will be a huge help:
1. Re-gift/Donate a Christmas present that's not quite your style, or isn't something you need
2. Send us your unwanted baskets! If you have baskets around your house that can be used to build a basket for a donation, please consider donating it!
3. We are still collecting gift cards for dining out and for places that you like to shop, as well as other gift items and spirits.
4. Send something for a Band Sectional basket
Feel free to email Donata Garvey for any questions regarding donations. Please leave items in the donation box in the uniform room. If you have wine or spirits, DO NOT bring to school. Contact Donata, and she can arrange for a time to meet or pick up the item.

2. What’s the best part about having a sibling in the band?
JG - Awkwardly saying hi.
AG - They give musical advice.
3. What’s the worst part?
JG - IDK, nothing I guess
AG - Most people know you as Joey's little sister
4. What’s the best piece of band advice you’ve been given?
JG - Be confident
AG - Don't be late
5. What do you like to do for fun?
JG - Band stuff
AG - Hangout with friends and read about astronomy
6. If you could have dinner with three people living or dead, who would you choose and why?
JG - Stanley Kubrik, Martin Luther King, Kevin Feige
AG - Cecilia Payne, Clare Paterson, Neil DeGrass Tyson / because they are accomplished scientists.
7. What song is at the top of your play list right now?
JG - You're Welcome from Moana

2. What’s the best part about having a sibling in the band?
AC - You always have a friend who you can talk to about anything.
JC - Having an in with other sections
3. What’s the worst part?
AC - I don’t think there are any downsides?
JC - Conflicting schedules
4. What’s the best piece of band advice you’ve been given?
AC - Wise men don’t need advice. Fools don’t take it. - Benjamin Franklin
JC - To be early is to be on time
5. What do you like to do for fun?
AC - I like to make movies with my friends and be a general nuisance.(I hope im a lovable nuisance!)
JC - Play with my dogs
6. If you could have dinner with three people living or dead, who would you choose and why?
AC - Easy: My Grandma, she passed away awhile ago and I don’t think I really got to know her all that well, Einstein, because... well duh... he’s Einstein, and Rosa Parks, because she was a powerful force in civil rights for both people of color and women.
JC - Paul Mccartney- My favorite Beatles, Barack Obama’s- I respect him and Steven Hawking- I have lots of questions
7. What song is at the top of your play list right now?
AC - Definitely N.Y. State of Mind by: NAS. It’s not what I would call school appropriate, buts it’s definitely good song.
JC - Happy Together- the Turtles
