The physical effects that it can have on children are sad and all are severe, some of them are,Bruises, welts or swelling, Sprains or fractures, Burns,Lacerations or abrasions,Difficulty in walking or sitting, Lack of adequate supervision, nutrition or shelter, Poor hygiene, and Torn stained or bloody clothing. Are some of the physical effects child abuse can have on child. The emotional effects all are severe and highly affect children and their personality. Some of the effects are, depression, anxiety disorders,poor self-esteem,aggressive behavior,suicide attempts ,eating disorders,use of illicit drugs,alcohol abuse, post-traumatic stress,dissociation and self-harming behaviors, personality disorders.Eating disorders, Drug use, Self-harm, Troubled sleeping. Child abuse can lead to many problems later on in life it can cause,the inability to regulate emotions like rage and terror, along with intense suicidal feelings, somatic disorder, negative self-perception, poor relationships, chronic feelings of isolation, despair and hopelessness; and dissociation and amnesia'.,The implications are that real-world childhood… trauma may be responsible for many psychopathology usually considered to have endogenous origins, including various kinds of phobic, depressive, anxiety and eating disorders, also borderline personality, antisocial personality and multiple personality disorder. To help prevent child abuse you can look for the signs of child abuse some of them are, Bruising, welts or burns that cannot be sufficiently explained; particularly bruises on the face, lips, and mouth of infants or on several surface planes at the same time; Withdrawn, fearful or extreme behavior;,Clusters of bruises, welts or burns, indicating repeated contact with a hand or instrument; Burns that are insufficiently explained; for example, cigarette burns.
