This Week at Hulcy STEAM....

  • All teachers should have a hard copy of lesson plans available in their clear file folder.
  • All teachers should have a hard copy of their current PBL Plan available in their clear file folder.
  • Breakfast should be completed by 8:45 a.m.
  • Instruction should begin promptly at 8:50 a.m.

Monday, October 8th
  • Student grades updated in Unified Classroom by 9:00 a.m.
  • Community Circles (Topic: Different Feelings)
  • PSAT Testing Meeting 8th grade 3:30 p.m. 207

Tuesday, October 9th

  • Principal For A Day: Welcome Denise Gomez!
  • Parent Conference 4:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. (Conferences should not last any longer than 7 minutes)

Wednesday, October 10th

  • Advisory period (EOD 6th and 8th grades)
  • Volleyball Game (Ellis Davis F.H. B Team-6:00 A Team-7:00) PINK OUT!

  • Attendance Committee Meeting 4:15 p.m.

Thursday, October 11th

  • International Day of The Girl
  • Advisory period (EOD 6th and 8th grades)
  • Lesson Plans due by 5:00 p.m.

Friday, October 12th

  • Mandatory Professional Development for Staff/Student Holiday (TEI 4.3 and 4.4)


  • Compliance Videos must be competed by October 31

  • ALL STAFF members should report to Hulcy Huddle by 8:00 a.m.
  • Lesson plans are due EVERY THURSDAY by 5:00 p.m.
  • Prepare your Elevator Speech :)
  • The only assessments students should take during each six weeks are the 3-week mini and the Six Weeks Common Assessment. DOLs should provide you with information on your student's strengths and areas of growth are.
  • PODs meet every Friday (no exceptions)
  • All teachers are expected to participate in afternoon duty, no exceptions.
  • Ensure you are taking time to study the material prior to delivering it to your students. Great teachers prepare and study.
  • Instruction should begin promptly after each tardy bell.
  • Students should use the 5 minute transition time to take care of their personal needs. Students should not report to class and then be sent out to use the restroom.
  • Students should not leave the classroom during Direct Instruction.
  • All classroom doors should remain open during instructional time.
  • Practice using your Meta-cognition Stems during instruction.
  • Compliance Videos are due by Sunday, Sept. 30, 2018.
