Grow It Green
Last week, Farmer Tina visited the Intermediate Unit. Farmer Tina reviewed the parts of a plant and then identified the parts of the plant that we eat like to eat including fruits, roots, stems, leaves and even flowers. It was great to have Farmer Tina back. The students are so excited for their monthly lessons and activities!
We are lucky to have 2 visits from Grow It Green this month! This week, Farmer Tina will return. Her lesson will focus on the changing seasons and the importance of eating foods in season. Students will try in-season roasted turnips and raw turnips. Then, they will compare their tastes. Farmer Tina will also talk a little about traditional Thanksgiving foods..
Thank you to Grow It Green for their continuing partnership!

2020-2021 Kindergarten Parents Information Session
On November 15th, we hosted potential 2020 NPS parents for an information session and a brief tour. Parents were greeted by 5th grade representatives, who accompanied them down to the library. I received many compliments from parents. They were impressed by our students' interpersonal skills.
During the session, families had the opportunity to learn more about our school and programs, as well as take a brief tour into our classrooms.
We will host our second information session on January 17th.
