What is Accreditation? Why is it Important for Balboa Academy?

Dear Parents,

Don't miss tomorrow's PTSO sponsored presentation at Escuela para Padres, Friday, March 18, 2016, 0830, Dr. Wolf Room, Middle School.

Ms. Erinn Magee, Director, will provide you with information about our AdvancED Accreditation. Every five years we recceive an on-site visit and we are prepared for the team's visit on 4-6 April 2016. Balboa Academy is proud to be one of five schools who is accredited in Panama and part of the largest community of educators in the world!

We welcome a team of six educators who will be on campus. During their visit they will interview:

  • Board members
  • Administrators
  • Teachers
  • Students
  • Parents

How does Accreditation work?

Faculty, parents and teachers have collaborated to provide documentation and supportive evidence that demonstrates a comprehensive and engaging educational program. To prepare we have completed:

  • Student Performance Analysis
  • Stakeholder Feedback Analysis
  • Self-Study
  • Assurances
  • Executive Summary

Self Study: Two Year Process

In addition to our daily routines, we thank faculty, students and parents for their contributions to our two year self study process!

Balboa Academy offers a college preparatory curriculum with the majority of graduation seniors attending 4 year universities in the United States or abroad.

Balboa Academy faculty have continual professional learning and must earn at least six semester hours of credit or the equivalent during each fie years of employment.

Balboa Academy offers innovative learning centers and maintains class sizes that facilitate and support the learning process.
