April 4, 2018 - 11:00 a.m. School Counselor Forum

Connect with regional school counselors at a collaborative forum held at Muskingum University on April 4 from 11 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided by Muskingum University. Topics will include updates on the mental health session held on March 22, 2018, that covered the SOS program from Childrens' Nationwide Hospital, a Care Team structure and the role of the counselor. Additional topics will include College Night reflection and items brought to the table by school counselors.

Join this collaborative of curriculum directors to discuss, share and reflect on current educational practices in curriculum, instruction and assessment. Explore leadership topics and gain ideas from other district leaders!

April 16, 2018 - 11:00 a.m. U.S. Service Academy

The Office of U.S. Congressman Bill Johnson invites local educators to an informational session on U.S. Service Academy opportunities for students. Congressional staff will share about the nomination process to make this opportunity happen for students. If you are a superintendent, principal, curriculum director or school counselor you will definitely want to join us on April 16.

April 18, 2018 - 8:30 a.m. OTES Next Steps

Veteran principals, attend Day 3 of the OTES Next Steps training! The focus will be on using data to inform professional conversations and target professional development.

Attend all three days of OTES Next Steps to:

· qualify for the two-year renewal of the OTES credential.

· Earn 28 contact hours, including 10 additional hours of on-site implementation.

April 25, 2018 - 8:30 A.M. MS/HS Principal Collaborative

Join this collaborative of principals to discuss, share and reflect on current educational practices. Explore leadership topics suggested by colleagues and gain ideas from other district leaders! Dr. Doug Reeves, Creative Leadership Solutions, will be joining the group via video-conferencing for a presentation and round table discussion on instructional leadership.

April 26 & 27, 2018 - 8:30 A.M. PREPaRE Workshop Crisis Intervention and Recovery: The Roles of School-Based Mental Health Professionals (Second Edition)

This two-day workshop, co-presented by Juliette Madigan, Nationally Certified School Psychologist, and Alicia Weston, Muskingum Valley ESC School Psychologist, provides school-based mental health professionals and other school crisis intervention team members with the knowledge necessary to meet the mental health needs of students and staff following a school-associated crisis event. This workshop is an excellent course for all mental health professionals in your district who provide mental health crisis intervention services. Register only for day 1 for the 2-day training. MVESC member districts - $75 .00 for both days. Non-member districts - $150.00 for both days.
